Jill has gained a Master of Education Studies, Learning Support at the University of Queensland.
Over the past 25 years, Jill has worked as a learning support teacher in private schools, including St Aidan’s and St Margaret’s Anglican Girls Schools, and most recently Brisbane Boys’ College. Her passion for early intervention and her work with children who have reading and spelling difficulties led her to start Reading Matters, a private business devoted to individualised teaching of children diagnosed with specific literacy disorders. Jill works alongside the speech pathologists at READ to provide targeted individualised support for children with literacy disorders. Her wealth of knowledge and experience within educational systems makes her an invaluable resource person and advocate for families when working with their child’s school.
